Coaching Skills
Today's organisations have fewer management layers and emphasise individual responsibility. Successful delegation and empowerment relies on effective coaching.
Coaching is a process of identifying and overcoming obstacles, planning the steps and getting things moving. Because it's focused entirely on the individual, it's extremely cost effective.
Everyone needs a coach to help review and develop their:
- strategy and roles
- problem solving, decision making and identification of skill gaps
- business relationships and influence
- team issues.
Benefits
- Improved personal performance which directly impacts the organisation.
- An individual approach to development.
- Using every day demands and experiences.
- Allowing the individual to develop at their own pace.
- Encouraging practical outcomes.
- Matching individual learning styles.
- Regular confidential reviews of current challenges.
Approach
Our approach is based on establishing methods by which people develop the performance of others. A programme may look at:
- How people learn and develop.
- The role of the coach.
- The key skills required by coaches.
- Using a coaching model which helps people to take responsibility for improving their own performance.
Our programmes are highly participative and feature role-play and other practical work to give an accurate experience of the skills involved.
How we work with you
Every company is different and every employee is an individual. To reflect this, we tailor all training to the specific needs and culture of your organisation. We can work with you to build a programme for your staff or, if you have already identified your training needs, we can provide workshops which meet those needs exactly.
Logistics
Our coaching skills training typically takes one to two days, working with groups from four to eight individuals.
