Project Leadership
Organisations need to constantly evolve, whether they're launching new products or campaigns, constructing new facilities, installing new technology, or developing specific initiatives to reduce costs.
What's different about projects?
Projects involve different challenges and ways of working:
- They're more visible, with an increased focus on time, cost and quality goals.
- They're more risky - projects are unique, so come with increased uncertainty.
- Working relationships are different across boundaries, and people have different backgrounds, approaches, reporting lines and priorities.
- Commitment - people have different pressures and priorities on their time.
- Projects bring change - not always welcomed by everyone
Benefits
Increases in project achievements are extremely visible - and since they are central to the success of the organisation, payback is swift:
- Projects are more successful, since the project team is motivated and committed.
- Projects are run in a disciplined and consistent way.
- Our approach ensures greater acceptance and improved relationships.
Approach
Establishing a project culture
For projects to be successful, people need to be attuned to project working. We can help establish the business process, disciplines and clear roles appropriate for your organisation.
Typically, we approach this as a project in itself, working with you to develop what you need.
Developing project leadership and team skills
We design project leadership training modules ranging from one to four days. Our focus is on using project tools to clarify direction, motivate the team and lead the project to achieve success.
Helping project managers develop
We help project leaders develop their skills further using our unique PM 360 degree feedback diagnostic that focuses on three areas: project management, team leadership and change leadership skills. We use this either for individual coaching or in a masterclass workshop setting.
How we work with you
We will work with you to identify your concerns and the risks that your project(s) face. We can then use our experience and expertise to enable you to minimise those risks and to plan a route that will ensure that your project is successful.
Logistics
Our project leadership workshops typically take one to four days, working with groups from eight to twelve individuals.
